What You Need to Know About the Riverside Hall of Justice
The Riverside Hall of Justice is known for being very overcrowded. This court handles a lot of Riverside County criminal cases, and thus it is constantly busy. Many courtrooms at this facility handle so many cases that access is limited. You or your family members may have to wait in hallways outside of the courtroom until your case is called.
Due to the volume of criminal cases handled in the Riverside Hall of Justice, the public defender’s office at the courthouse is overloaded with clients. If you wish to mount an adequate defense to the charges against you, you should consider hiring an experienced private criminal defense lawyer in Riverside who has the time and ability to treat your case with the seriousness and respect it deserves.
Regardless if you have hired a private criminal defense law firm or have been assigned a public defender, you should get to the Riverside Hall of Justice early on the day of your court date. It opens at 7:30 a.m. and cases are called starting at 8 a.m. If you are late even by a few minutes, a warrant could be issued for your arrest.
